Extended Hours

To provide the best possible service to our patients we also offer a selection of early morning and evening appointments across the month, these are ideal for patients who are unable to attend the surgery during the opening hours above. Appointments offered:

Early morning appointments are available on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 7.30am
Evening consultations are available on two Monday evenings per month and one Thursday evening per month from 6.30pm - 8.00pm

Consultations during these times are strictly by appointment only

When We Are Closed

closed_sign Along with the majority of doctors in Reading we are part of WESTCALL, a service providing a high quality out-of-hours care. There is always a doctor on call for emergencies after 18:30, weekends and public holidays.

Please telephone Reading 948 6900 and a recorded message will tell you how to contact the duty doctor. Please listen carefully to the complete message and have a pen and paper ready.

NHS Direct

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
